In this scenario, the user has picked a polyline on top of a 3D seismic cube in Software A. The 2D seismic section does not result from an acquisition process but from a human picking from a seismic 3D block process.
The only difference in this scenario is that the seismic 2D section picked polyline is linked to the seismic 3D block (see last box on right bottom of figure 2). All points of the picked polyline will also be identified by their coordinates within the seismic 3D block in addition to their XYZ coordinates.
